All Stars
Tom Clarke, ed.
1972 First Printing. Grossman & Goliard, New York
Quarto. Silver letters on full blue cloth in FINE condition in a like Brodart protected dust jacket. 347pp. An uncommon poetry anthology, very hard to find in hardcover. Each of the 13 contributors (Michael McClure, Clark Coolidge, Dick Gallup, Aram Saroyan, Ed Dorn, Alice Notley, Ted Berrigan, Ron Padgett, Philip Whalen, Tom Clarke, James Schuyler, Robert Creeley, & Ed Sanders) was asked to present to present some 20 pages of new work - the result is a book which contains, in effect, 13 chapbooks. What a stellar group of poets, true "All Stars" from the '70's poetry renaissance in a volume not likely to be seen twice. Terrific.
