Gold and blue letters on full black cloth in NEAR FINE condition in a like Brodart protected unclipped dust jacket. 215pp.  This is a novel about the construction of the highest medieval stone spire in the United Kingdom on the Salisbury Cathedral, a thirteenth century masterpiece of early English architecture.  Golding is most noted for his work Lord of the Flies.  He won the Booker Prize in 1980 and the Nobel Prize for literature in 1983.
